NOW THERe'S A BETTER WAY TO REMOVE COATINGS

PLASMABLAST IN ACTION

Get A Clean Surface withOUT DAMAGE TO THE SUBSTrATE

AcHIEVE A SUPERIOR RESULT WITHOUT CHEMICALS oR ABRASIVES. AVOID COSTLY CONTAINMENT AND CLEAN UP.

PlasmaBlast treatment uses a mixture of plasma-generated species to specifically target the organic backbone, the binding, of the coating to weaken and remove it. The air flow supplied by the plasma treatment itself is effective in blowing off the remnants of the coating after it breaks down. These remnants include small amounts of carbon dioxide, water vapor, and non-toxic gases and dust which makes exposure to these compounds safe for the operator and the environment. If the coating contains organics, PlasmaBlast will be able to effectively remove any coating regardless of the rest of the coating composition making it a useful tool for a variety of applications.

3 of THE KEYS BENEFITS OF PLASMA COATING REMOVAL

THIS SYSTEM OPERATES WITH ONlY THE INPUT of AIR AND ELECTRICITY

FAST, PRECISE REMOVAL ON IRREGULAR SHAPES

The PlasmaBlast system treats the complete surface (cracks, crevices, profile valleys) without changing the profile or mechanical/metallurgical properties of the metal. The path of removal for the plasma acts like a fluid and can remove coatings over any shape or complex geometry.

LOWER THE RISK OF WORK INJURY AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

This tool has been designed with the safety of the operator in mind. Eliminates WASTE, VIBRATION, NOISE, OFF-GASSING / The treatment produces carbon dioxide, water vapor, and small quantities of non-toxic gases and dust. Additionally, the tool is easy to use and quick to be trained on, in comparison to some conventional methods.

THIS TOOL GOES WHERE OTHER TOOL CAN'T

PlasmaBlast has been used 300 feet above the ground on wind towers and 7 decks below on an aircraft carrier. Because the plasma beam flows like a fluid, this technology is perfect to clean the intricate threads of a coated bolt, reach down into a crack of a corroded part or remove the paint from a crease in a dent. The 34 pound PB 7000 is a portable system for manual use or robotic implementation on industrial and military assets. The tool has been ruggedized to ensure successful operation in harsh environments.

Atmospheric Plasma Coating Removal: The Future Without Spent Abrasive

Purpose of the Study

To show that APCR could be effectively used to remove coatings from steel substrates and leave a surface that is ready for recoating and provide similar adhesion to that of a grit blasted surface

We'VE PROVEN SUCCESS WITH THESE
coatings, sealants, and substrates

The PB 7000-M system has been shown effective in removing a wide range of coatings and sealants from a wide variety of substrates. The technology has been validated by Fortune 100 companies and in projects and related contracts with the US Navy, US Air Force, NATO and the Strategic Environmental Research and Development program (SERDP).
